Ross Bailes races into World 100; collects two Top-10s in Eldora Speedway prelims
With the World 100 bringing him to Ohio, Ross Bailes unloaded his Joey Malone-owned No. 87 machine a day early at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) to compete in the $20,000-to-win Castrol FloRacing Night in America event.
Finishing 16th in the 50-lap main event, Ross turned his attention to a pair of preliminary nights for the World 100. On Thursday, Bailes finished eighth in his $12,000-to-win prelim before scoring another Top-10 finish on Friday.
Earning a front-row starting spot for one of Saturday's heat races, Bailes dropped back two positions but still made the $57,000-to-win main event by transferring through his B-Main. In the 54th-running of the World 100, Ross made up ten positions to finish 16th after 100 laps.
