Bailes runner-up with Carolina Clash at Lavonia Speedway
Fresh off a $7,500 triumph last weekend, Ross Bailes and his team traveled to Lavonia (Ga.) Speedway on Friday afternoon for the $5,000-to-win Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event.
Locking in the Top-10 in qualifying, Bailes stopped the clock eighth-quickest and lined up on the fourth-row for the 40-lap main event. Crawling his way through the field, Ross found himself runner-up when the checkered flag flew. He trailed race-winner Zack Mitchell while Ryan Gustin completed the podium.
