Ross Bailes pilots Danny Hatcher No. 6 at East Bay Winternationals with Lucas Oil

With Monday's event pushed back due to heavy rain showers, Ross Bailes unloaded the Hatcher Auto Sales No. 6 machine at East Bay Raceway Park (Tampa, FL) on Tuesday afternoon to compete with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

With 75 Late Models in attendance for the final East Bay Winternationals, Ross was able to find speed in qualifying and was a no show in his B-Main.

In Wednesday's heat races, Ross made up a few positions but still fell short of making the A-Main field in his last chance race.

For the first five-figure payday on Thursday, Bailes charged from 12th-to-6th in his heat race which lined him up nicely in the second B-Main. Needing a Top-2 finish to transfer, Ross came out with a fifth-place finish.

With Monday's make-up event spanning multiple days, Ross took advantage in Tuesday's qualifying which placed him on the pole of his heat race on Wednesday. After picking up the final transfer spot in his heat, Bailes drove to an 18th-place finish in Thursday's make-up race.

Heading into the weekend, Ross barely missed Friday's feature with a fifth-place outing in his B-Main and got buried in a B-Main on Saturday which ultimately ended his week early.
