Southern Showcase brings Bailes to Swainsboro Raceway with HTF
On Friday afternoon, Ross Bailes entered the Norm Nichols-owned No. 5 into Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series competition at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway for the Southern Showcase.
Following the fifth-fastest lap in qualifying, Ross spun in his heat race after another competitor made contact with him. Nabbing the final transfer spot in his B-Main, Bailes recorded a 20th-place finish in the short 30-lap feature.
With the field elevated to 34 Super Late Models on Saturday, Bailes once again grabbed the final transfer position in his B-Main and completed the 60-lap feature with a 18th-place finish.
