Fourth-place finish at Lavonia Speedway

On Friday evening, Ross Bailes visited Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Ga.) to compete in the Drydene Xtreme DIRTcar Series doubleheader. In a field of 22 cars, Bailes clocked in 10th-fastest overall before placing third in his heat. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Ross fell one spot in the 40-lapper to finish eighth. The following night, Ross’ fourth-to-second run in his heat race positioned him fifth on then starting grid for the $5,000-to-win finale. After crossing the line in fifth, Bailes was promoted to a fourth-place finish after the race-winner was disqualified. He trailed Kenny Collins, Ben Watkins, and Cla Knight across the line with Daulton Wilson coming in fifth.
