Top-10 finish in Lucas Oil debut at East Bay Raceway Park

On Thursday afternoon, Ross Bailes and Big Frog Motorsports joined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at East Bay Raceway Park (Tampa, Fla.) for the fourth round of the 45th annual Wrisco Winternationals. In a field of 78 cars, Bailes came two spots short of a transfer position in his heat with a fifth place finish, sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the feature. Locking in the Top 2, Ross posted a runner-up finish behind Tyler Bruening, which positioned him 24th on the starting grid for the $7,000-to-win A-Main. The following night, Ross posted a sixth place finish in his heat, giving him one final shot at the $12,000-to-win A-Main with a B-Main appearance. Needing to place second or better, Bailes slipped back to an 11th-place outing.

For the final round of the 45th annual Wrisco Winternationals on Saturday evening, Bailes logged a seventh place finish in his heat race, transferring him into the B-Main for one last chance at the finale. Sending the Top 2 into the $15,000-to-win A-Main, Ross recorded a sixth-place finish.
