Mechanical issues arise in Modoc 100 at Modoc

On Friday night Ross Bailes hopped behind the wheel of the Billy Hicks-owned No. 79 Crate Late Model for the two-day Modoc 100 at Modoc Raceway (Modoc, S.C.). Drawing 45 Crate Racin’ USA Winter Series entries, Bailes timed in ninth fastest in his group but was a scratch from his heat race. He was one of six cars that elected to sit out their B-Main on Saturday.
