November 18, 2018 - Top 5 Finish in Palmetto State 50 at Lancaster Speedway
1Saturday night found Ross Bailes in action at Lancaster Speedway (Lancaster, South Carolina) competing in a field of 21 Southern All Star Series entries for the Palmetto State 50. Following the fastest time in his qualifying group, Bailes posted a 3rd place finish in his heat locking him into the 6th-starting position for the opening night feature. Breaking into the Top-5, Ross jumped up two spots to place 4th behind Chris Ferguson, Michael Brown, and Mike Maresca with Brandon Overton coming in 5th. (ZSK Photography)

1On Sunday night Bailes stopped at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series sanctioned Blue-Gray 100. In a field of 26 cars, Bailes recorded a 5th place finish in his heat locking him into the 13th-starting position for the feature. With $10,000 on the line, Ross dropped three spots in the 100-lapper logging a 16th place outing.

With his performance on Saturday night, Ross Bailes captured Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series point’s title.

November 3, 2018 - Bailes Attends World Finals at Charlotte
1Ross Bailes traveled to the Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, North Carolina) on Thursday night kicking off the 12th annual World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series World Finals. With 76 Super Late Models on hand for a round of qualifying, Bailes registered the 33rd fastest time in his group locking him into the 11th-starting position for his heat on Saturday.

1Gaining seven spots, Ross reeled in a 4th place finish but fell one short of a transfer spot into the feature. Starting on the pole of his B-Main, Bailes cruised to a 10-lap consolation victory locking his spot into the A-Main. With the midnight curfew postponing Friday’s feature to Saturday, Ross Bailes held his spot for all 50-laps to place 20th. (Zach Yost photo)

Returning later Saturday night, Bailes came in 9th in his heat giving him one last shot at the $12,000-to-win finale with a B-Main appearance. Sending the Top 3 into the show, Ross logged a 9th place outing bringing an early end to his weekend.
