July 29th, 2017 - Bailes Records a Pair of Top 5 Finishes in #79
1After Mother Nature scrapped his original weekend plans, Ross Bailes headed to Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Georgia) on Friday for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series sanctioned program. With 18 cars on hand, Bailes came in second fastest in qualifying behind Casey Roberts locking him into the 2nd-starting position for the feature. Dropping one spot in the 40-lapper, Ross posted a 3rd place finish behind Casey Roberts and Jason Welshan with Zack Mitchell and Tyler Millwood completing the Top 5 finishers.

Following the ULTIMATE series on Saturday, Ross was one of 31 cars signed in at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia). Laying down the fifth fastest in his qualifying group, Ross earned the 10th-starting position for the $4,000-to-win A-Main. Breaking into the Top 5, Ross passed five cars in the 40-lap affair to place 5th behind Michael Page, Jason Croft, Tyler Millwood, and Dale Thurman.

July 22nd, 2017 - Ross Bailes Lands Top 5 Finish With Southern Nationals at Screven
1Ross Bailes returned with the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Series on Friday night at Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Georgia) for the $5,300 top prize. Starting the night off with the fastest time overall in a field of 28 Super Late Models, Ross earned the 2nd-starting position for the feature. Getting involved in a tangle on lap-10, Bailes went into the infield pit area to exchange a tire and rejoined the field from the tail. Passing eight cars in the remaining distance, Ross registered a 14th place outing.

1Saturday night brought 26 Southern Nationals followers to Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Georgia) for the annual Rebel Yell. Following the fifth fastest time in qualifying, Ross scored a 3rd place finish in his heat race positioning him 10th on the starting grid for the $10,053 feature. Breaking into the Top 5, Ross Bailes improved five spots to place 5th behind Casey Roberts, Shanon Buckingham, Mark Whitener, and Dennis Franklin. (Brian McLeod photo)

July 15th, 2017 - Bailes Hangs on to Top 10 Finish in Southern Nationals Opener
1Kicking off the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Series, Ross Bailes made the trip to Wythe Raceway (Rural Retreat, Virginia) on Saturday night. After laying down the fastest time overall in his qualifying group, Bailes charged to an 8-lap heat race win positioning him on the pole for the main event. July 7th, 2017 - Top 5 Finish With Lucas Oil at Cherokee Speedway
1On Friday night Ross Bailes returned to action at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned program. In a field of 29 Super Late Models for the 19th annual Grassy Smith Memorial, Ross secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a runner-up finish behind Chris Ferguson in his heat race. Rolling off 5th for the feature, Bailes jumped up two spots in the 50-lapper posting a 5th place finish behind Brandon Overton, Josh Richards, Jimmy Owens, and Scott Bloomquist. (Heath Lawson photo)
