May 3rd, 2013 - Ross Bailes Charges Hard in Carolina Clash Action
1Despite taking a knife into a gun fight Ross Bailes powered his #75 John/Wesley Page owned Mastersbilt Crate Late Model to an eighth place finish with the Carolina Clash Series at Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, North Carolina) on Friday evening.

With much less power than his competitors Ross, who was utilizing his Crate Late Model since his Super Late Model was not ready for action, started twentieth on the grid for the $4,000-to-win, 40 lap finale at the speed plant. As the race went green he began marching his way forward, and was running eighth on the final lap, when the leader, Mike Gault, made contact with him as he tried to lap him. The duo would spin, but Bailes would recover to maintain his eighth place finish, and also earned Hard Charger of the Race honors for his performance.
