March 30th, 2013 - Up & Down Weekend for Ross Bailes in Carolina Crown
1Ross Bailes competed in the 2nd Annual Carolina Crown over the weekend at Lancaster Speedway (Lancaster, South Carolina) in both the Super Late Model and Crate Late Model divisions, and it would prove to be an up and down outing for the talented, young driver.

The weekend opened on Friday night with a $2,000-to-win, NDRA Crate Late Model event at the 1/2 mile oval as eighteen entries registered for battle. Bailes began his night by setting quick time, which put him on the pole of the first heat race. He would slip to a third place finish on a topside dominant track, which resulted in him starting fifth in the main event. During the course of the finale he advanced three spots on his way to a second place finish behind race winner, Dennis Franklin.

In the Super Late Model division a $30,000-to-win purse was posted, and the night started with Ross qualifying tenth fastest in the twenty-one car field in his #b4 Wilson Motorsports/Mastersbilt Super Late Model, which positioned him starting fourth in the first heat race. Unfortunately his luck would take a turn for the worst, when he made hard contact with the wall early in the heat, which brought his night to an early end. The team unloaded a back-up car for Saturday night's 60 lap finale, where he started in the twenty-first position. Despite starting deep in the field he advanced eleven spots on his way to a tenth place finish.

March 23rd, 2013 - Ross Bailes Wins Again in Page Motorsports Crate Late Model
1Ross Bailes last minute change of plans found him piloting the #75 John Page Racing Crate Late Model once again on Friday night as the team invaded Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, North Carolina) for the NDRA sanctioned event. The decision paid big dividends as Bailes raced to his second straight win and second of the 2013 campaign!

Sixteen Crate Late Models entered the event, and after scoring the win in the second heat race Bailes started outside-front-row for the main event alongside Greg Barker. As the race went green Bailes quickly found himself in the lead and went on to claim the win over Corey Gordon, Greg Barker, Kenneth Ramsey, and Steve Banal. Full results from the event are available at www.CarolinaSpeedway.net.

On Saturday, Ross and his team would make the trip to Fayetteville Motor Speedway (Fayetteville, North Carolina) to compete in the Carolina Clash sanctioned Ed Gibbons Memorial. 1Ross started the night by qualifying his Bobby and Johnny Wilson owned #B4 machine in the fourth position to lock into the fourth starting spot for the finale.

During the course of the feature, where passing was at a premium, Ross would stay inside the top five throughout the event before bringing home his Clements-powered Mastersbilt to a fifthth place finish. Full results are available at www.CarolinaClash.com.

Overall it was a very good weekend for both teams and we look forward to one of the bigger shows for us this year next weekend at The Carolina Crown at Lancaster Motor Speedway paying $30,000 and $3,000 for Crates!

March 16th, 2013 - Ross Bailes Gets First Win of 2013 at I-77
Ross Bailes took his #75 John Page Racing Crate Late Model into battle on Saturday evening at I-77 Speedway (Chester, South Carolina) in a $2,000-to-win event. By the time the day was over he had set a new track record and claimed his first win of the 2013 season!

Ross started the night by blazing to a new track record in qualifications, which locked him into the pole starting position for the main event. The early stages of the feature were caution plagued, but finally the race endured a long green flag run that saw Bailes bolt to the lead. Once out front he never looked back on his way to the $2,000 win. He was followed across the finish line by Brett Hamm, Ron Parker, Rambo Franklin, and Cantrell.

"The car was just awesome tonight, and really things couldn't have gone any better," noted an elated Bailes. "I have to thank my sponsors, crew, and fans for all of their great support!"

March 10th, 2013 - Pair of double duty Top 5's at Skylar Trull Memorial
1 Pulling double duty in the Crate Late Model and Super Late Model divisions this past weekend, Ross drove the #B4 and #75 cars to a pair of Top 5's in the ever popular Skylar Trull Memorial at Carolina Speedway (Gastonia, NC). In Friday nights qualifying for the Crate Late Model portion, Ross timed his John/Wesley Page owned #75 BWRC entry in 5th place (out of 28 cars) therefore locking into the feature. During Saturday's main event he would work his way up to 3rd only to have a caution wipe out his progress, and ended up finishing 5th.

During Saturday's Carolina Clash Super Late Model tour sanctioned event, Ross qualified his Bobby/Johnny Wilson owned #B4 Mastersbilt in the 4th position to start the night. During the main event, passing was at a premium and lead to Ross finishing in the same position as he started (4th). Overall it was a very successful weekend for the two teams, as well as a promising start to the Carolina Clash points championship, which the team plans to compete for.

March 3rd , 2013 - Bailes Finish 10th in March Madness at Cherokee
Ross traveled to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, South Carolina) on Sunday afternoon for the $10,000-to-win, March Madness, which was co-sanctioned by the Southern All Stars and the Carolina Clash. Twenty-nine Super Late Models entered the event, and via preliminary action Bailes locked into the tenth starting spot for the 60 lap finale. During the course of the feature Bailes had to battle various issues, but would still manage to rebound to cross the finish line in the tenth position in his #b4 Mastersbilt Super Late Model.
